Cabin in the Woods Review The Cabin in the Woods is a 2012 horror mystery comedy directed by Drew Goddard. It was written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard. It stars Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, and Anna Hutchison. It is about five college friends who go to a cabin in the woods and bad stuff happens. The most generic plot for a horror movie ever. But...there's a twist. I'm not going to tell you what it is, because it's absolutely brilliant. This movie is amazing. It is a love letter to the horror genre, it has hilarious dialogue, amazing characters and acting, stunning visuals, and pretty much just everything that you would want out of a film like this. One of my only gripes with the movie is that there is a lot of CGI in the last third, but the last third is so effing awesome that it doesn't even matter. This is a very hard review to do because this movie is so easy to spoil. This is probably the most basic review I've ever done, and I'm sorry. Before I wrap up, I want to tell you that you should go to IMDb and look at this movies tag-lines. They are amazing. In the end of you love horror movies, humor, making fun of horror cliches, mystery, twists and turns and an amazing story, than this just may be the movie for you! SCORE: 9.7/10
