Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers is a 1995 horror slasher flick directed by Joe Chappelle and written by Daniel Farrands. It stars Paul Rudd, Donald Pleasence and Marianne Hagan. It is the 6th installment of the Halloween franchise and this time he is going after his neice and newborn baby, for... reasons. This is a fun installment in the franchise. There is definitley a lot to like. This is my favorite look of Michael in any of the Halloween films. He just looks so menacing. Most of the acting is good and the blood looks cheesy but that makes it more fun! The movie is really good at making you hate the people you're supposed to hate. Specifaclly pornstache and dad. If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about. If not, don't worry about it. This movie explores the reasons that Michael Myers kills people, more or less. Paul Rudd is also really good in the movie. There are some straight up brutal deaths in this movie in this movie. Particularly the barn scene and the hospital scene. Sheesh. For the bad, they do a lot of weird cuts in this movie. They try so hard to make it scary and don't suceed, but at least they were fun. The ending makes no sense. It's really weird. Another strange thing I noticed is that a lot of the time they put in weird sound effects where they shouldn't go. Actually, the sound department for this movie messed up a lot now that I think about it. Like, the music in the movie was really quiet which annoyed me because I wanted to enjoy the spectacular John Carpenter score. There was this thing throughout the movie where you a woman scream but it's SO cheesy. There were lots of fake jump scares that were really annoying. There was actually a lot wrong but I can't say too much more without spoiling it so I'll wrap up here. In the end, if you want a fun Halloween movie that is streaming on Netflix that has a great soundtrack, acting and kills but has weird sounds, not enough Sam Loomis, forgettble characters and not the highest rewatchability score, then this just may be the movie for you!

SCORE: 6/10
