Bride of Chucky is a 1998 slasher horror comedy starring Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly. It was once again written by Don Mancini, and directed by Ronny Yu. This is when the Chucky movies started to become full on comedies. It is the story of Chucky being found by his ex-girlfriend Tiffy, played by Jennifer Tilly, and then they both become dolls and fall in love. While all that is going on, Chucky and Tiffy are on a sort of road trip to get to Charles Lee Ray's grave so they can get an amuliet that will allow them to transfer into a human body. It makes no sense, it's a very goofy movie, but it knows what it is. It's hilarious. It's a romantic comedy in disguise, with gore. Not too much gore but enough to keep you satisfied. Anyways, not the point. How is it as a movie? Probably not very good. How is it as a comedy? Effin' fantastic. Let me start off by saying that this film's score, composed by Graeme Revell, is one of my favorite scores in any movie ever. It's right up there with 'Juno' and 'Forrest Gump'. "Living Dead Girl" by Rob Zombie is probably one of the best metal songs out there in my opinion. There were also tons of tounge-in-cheek moments and I love seeing that. There was also a perfect blend of mayhem and sexual humor mixed together, making the movie even funnier. The acting is great. The humans didn't annoy me too much. The ending was a little unsatisfying and somethings didn't make sense, but there's also two dolls walking around killing people and that dosen't make sense eiether. It has quite a few flaws but it was still a really funny movie. If you're looking to laugh but you also want chaos, Bride of Chucky just may be the movie for you. Thanks for reading this review, I'll try to have my review for Seed of Chucky up very soon. Have a great night!
